Amy Hammond
Engineering Team Lead
Background
Amy joined Galois in 2025 as an Engineering Team Lead, based in our Arlington office. She brings over 25 years of experience from the National Security Agency in Maryland, where she began as an individual contributor in vulnerability discovery, network evaluation, and computer forensics. Amy went on to gain leadership experience in the computer network operations (CNO) mission area and ultimately led multiple engineering organizations across NSA’s signals intelligence collection, data analytics, and CNO mission areas. To broaden her perspective, she transitioned to the contractor side as Associate Director of People Strategy at Nightwing (formerly Raytheon Technologies/RTX). Amy holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Computer Science.
Amy’s current interests center on leading high-performing teams and driving technology innovation and transition to help protect the nation. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, cooking and baking, pickleball, reading fiction, and cheering for the Orioles, Ravens, and college football teams from Auburn and Virginia Tech.
